As switching systems grow more complex they can outgrow the capabilities
of traditional simple embedded control systems. The solution is to use the
more powerful data base programs and GUI features of PC's, workstations,
and networks. Lighthouse Navigator is a powerful and easy to use control
program that runs on a PC (Windows 95, 98 or NT). Through Navigator,
switcher control capabilities that have never before been available are
now easy to use and cost effective to implement.

Web Client
Perform routes, salvos or
check status of your router from the comfort of any computer running
Internet Explorer. All of these features and no set-up hassles and the
same security as you would have if you were there. Totally customizable
button faces so you see what you want and how you want it.
With Navigator all the standard illuminated push button and rotary XY
hardware remote control panels are completely programmable. That is, all
the push buttons on all the control panels can be programmed to be any
functions such as inputs, outputs, controlling different levels,
multilevel salvos, OZ DSP functions, etc. It is all programmable. Now
remote control panels can be as powerful, or as limited, as desired by the
systems administrator for the operators. And all this can be reprogrammed
at Navigator PC with the click of a mouse.
The
Systems Administrator also has control over alphanumeric names, a powerful
AFV resource menu, salvo set ups, an icon editor, router setup and systems
configurations, a router at a glance display, virtual panels & drag and
drop features.
Another feature from Navigator is virtual control panels. These JAVA based
virtual panels run on multiple platforms (PCs & MACs) and can
simulate the appearance of hardware panels or can be completely user
configured for appearance and operation. The virtual panels can access the
Navigator server through a network, or through any internet or intranet
connection.
